Level 3
Hi Candy Crush All Star Team,
I think I may have found a potential cheater or a glitch in the status report.
Can the studio look into the player "mamax"?
I have not issue with his speed and current score. However. I noticed this status don't make any sense. He has been stuck on level 81 since 6am Pacific 3/20/25 but he has won 227 levels. This math doesn't make sense. Also is current win streak is rather low given is score, the speed at which he is scoring points usually means he has to be winning level quickly and continuously.
I think there could be two issue going on:
1. The stats feature for MaMax is buggy and they are not cheating. So there is no issue and I deeply apologize.
OR
2. MaMax is using some kind of software hack to collect purple candies in level 81 and keeps repeating the level. This would explain why he remains at level 81 but his stats don't add up. This would enable him to rack up lots of points quickly. I think this is consider cheating based on the rules.
King, please take a moment to look into this????
Hello @morganleeoregon I don't know if King are eliminating cheaters in the qualifier rounds as this is very early in the competition, but I can imagine that this player who probably is merging their accounts somehow will find the event disappear soon. I believe that King have automatic systems in place to eliminate such unfair play but I don't know how quickly this will kick in, it might be in between rounds. One thing is for certain: Posting here to report individual cheaters is pointless and King will not follow up such complaints. They never did last year. In the qualifier rounds it doesn't really matter as it is not hard to get into the top five for anyone good enough to go further in the competition.
What this player has done is start a second account on a second device play a few levels to gain boosters without saving the account and then logged into an account they previously had saved (which apparently is only at level 81….) with a nice stash of boosters. This is possible to do for anyone and will cause the "levels played" to count both merged games even though the saved account is only at level 81. I would guess it would this year fall under the "unfair play" part in the terms and conditions, but as I said, if King want to eliminate such unfair play they will have bots to do so and they won't check out individual players we report here.
Thanks for the explanation on what the player is doing. If he is using different accounts and different devices, I don't care then. I'm mostly concerned they were using a software hack to run up the score.
If they are still play levels manually, then I have no issue.
That is very impressive you were able to figure this out :)
Are you in the tournament now?
Thank you for this insight analysis. I really appreciate it.
I'm actually fine with this strategy of using different accounts and devices, as long as they are forced to play the levels manually. I was mostly concerned that they were using software hacks.
You don't have to pass a lot of levels to gain massive amounts of purple, you just need to find a clean 9x9 that requires a key to drop or dinosaur something that requires an actual move to make it drop and never make a move just keep blasting the party poppers, you can gain millions with the x30 in an hour! it is no secret and anybody that has won have used this strategy and yes they have hundreds of thousands of boosters at their disposal. Here is an example notice how I moved the dino so it can't drop then blast away until you are bored to tears!
True that's how I won the 100 ?gold bars a month using the star tournament.
Exactly, I have won many tournaments and contests with one level!
There is a clause this year stating that there is a cap on the score that can be collected per level @Boybinary so I think your method would not work in 2025. They must have some kind of algorithm that will throw out any players trying to score more on any one level than the game allows through normal play. At least that is how I interpret the section below taken from the Terms and Conditions.
5.2.1.
Maximum limit caps:
Please note that every gameround (i.e. each attempt at a level) is subject to a limit for the number of All Stars candies that may be collected for that gameround. When this limit is reached, this will be as indicated in-game. Participants cannot collect more All Stars candies than the maximum limit per gameround. Any attempt to circumvent this maximum score cap may be deemed unfair play under section 4.6 above.
They removed scoring from all levels so they must use actual purple count per level? And if that is the case why eliminate anyone from playing? that seems like it should level out the competition?
@christinewupp I assume this is just for the all stars. I can't see this as being a permanent feature.
I'm happy they capped the number of purple candies each level can collect.
Using a single level to collect an astronomical amount of purple candies violates the spirit of the tournament.
