ALL Star Potential Cheater?

Hi Candy Crush All Star Team,

I think I may have found a potential cheater or a glitch in the status report.

Can the studio look into the player "mamax"?

I have not issue with his speed and current score. However. I noticed this status don't make any sense. He has been stuck on level 81 since 6am Pacific 3/20/25 but he has won 227 levels. This math doesn't make sense. Also is current win streak is rather low given is score, the speed at which he is scoring points usually means he has to be winning level quickly and continuously.

I think there could be two issue going on:

1. The stats feature for MaMax is buggy and they are not cheating. So there is no issue and I deeply apologize.

2. MaMax is using some kind of software hack to collect purple candies in level 81 and keeps repeating the level. This would explain why he remains at level 81 but his stats don't add up. This would enable him to rack up lots of points quickly. I think this is consider cheating based on the rules.

King, please take a moment to look into this????

I'm not a cheater and I was able to get 4.5 million in my board with about 25 hours of play over the 90 hours of total play time.

Elite player like myself, @christinewupp @Nobody1 can easily achieve 180K-200K points per hour. We don't cheat but we have years and years of playing experience.

Careful how you spend money, it's difficult to beat elite players like us.

Keep training and try again next year.

I am in a similar and different situation...these people are using bots! I have wasted thousands of dollars over the years on this stupid game. I just filed a complaint with the FTC it took me literal hours to get the 2m plus stars I earned, meanwhile the person that won in my bracket did in like it was nothing

to be honest I have never collected gold bars in all of my years of playing at the top of the map except this last year i wanted to see how many I could collect within the normal play of the game IE episode races, top that etc. and it has been exactly one year that I started and I have right at 25k don't really need them or use them as far as everything else I am going to keep that to myself! It doesn't involve cheating or using any cheat engines but something this old programmer stumbled on to! I would be willing to sell that info to king for finding a serious flaw in their system.

So, @michimune @Boybinary , when you earn a bunch of gold bars, what do you do with them? Do you immediately buy party poppers? Or spread them out among party poppers and maybe UFOs and striped brushes? Or something else? And where do you tend to keep your gold bar level - how many? Just curious as to your strategy. I assume things like lollipops and free switches are best accumulated by watching ads, so you'd never buy those; it's quite doable to earn 10,000+ each of those in a year's worth of watching ads.

Accumulate too many gold bars is a risk, because the information of gold bars are saving in the server, but the information of boosters are saving in the players' device. Some players even restore them by previous back up after using them for winning gold bars in a tournament 😆🤣

This is not any secret, any senior players have known that already.

That is exactly right, I have always told people that are hoarding gold bars that they are hoarding the wrong thing! Party poppers and more Party poppers! By the way there are many ways to manipulate the playing field I only showed you one!

I totally agree with you. I think this technique do not violate the spirit of the competition. Anyone who plays this game for a long time can think it by himself normally. Except this technique, there are many similar techniques to get more purple. But the key factor is the numbers of boosters.

Therefore the competition is competing for earning incredible numbers of boosters in a short time basically.😆🤣

If the player knows how to do that, no wasting of any money, the player must know how to use the boosters also.

It was the way people were dominating and not against any rules at the time and it appears now that has changed! I got the invite to London but unfortunately had to decline for personal reasons, since then I have been excluded from any tournaments or contests, I did nothing wrong and was doing what all the leaders were doing just a little more efficiently.

The purpose of the tournament is for King to make money.
Getting peoples hopes up, encouraging them to spend money.
Otherwise all players in eligible countries would've been included and not excluded due to too much gold or inventory.
But yeah, it's always, ALWAYS! about making money.

Fantastic write up. I totally remember that dude, he was on a serious campaign to show how he didn't cheat. I think King was right to block him from attending the finals. He was violating the spirit of the competition. He was essentially exploiting a bug in the game.

I think all these new rules are good. I have no complaint about them.

In my opinion, the purpose of the tournament is to find the best players. Not the person who can find the best exploits and loop holes.

This tournament has one of the huge purses in gaming industry, there is bound to be cheaters. I think that is why they block China, Russian, Ukraine, South Korea and Japan from the games. Historically these countries are incredibly sharp and have a long history of producing extremely good hackers. Can you imagine how much more money they could have if these Asian countries played?!?

I applaud King for trying to protect the integrity of the game.

The multiple account and devices was intended to block folks where were trying try to have like many many people play a single account. This allowed accounts to rack up points insanely fast.

So I have a question, I had previously posted my frustration with CC. Was at level 12000+ and constantly stuck. After reading advice from many of you I decided to start over. This was before I even knew All Stars was starting. So I'm now at level 700+ working my way up. I did not delete my old account. I simply reinstalled the game and used a different email address when asked. I'm really all in on the All Stars event (ever the optimist) I haven't attached it to Facebook, just playing on my phone. I'm worried now that I could be disqualified since I technically have 2 accounts. Don't want to waste time and money if I'm not eligible given that I started over. Does anyone know if what I did/am doing is a problem as far as qualifying for the tournament?

I would like to add a little historical perspective here @morganleeoregon:

The "hide the dragon" method has been talked about a few times here in the community. During All Stars 2023 one player openly posted here showing off that he used this method to win the tournament using the star tournament at the end of the map. He had saved up gold and boosters for a year and then believed, rightly or wrongly, that to use boosters to draw out a level (the move count does not go down when using boosters, so a player could play endlessly without having to pay for extra moves) was not at all against any of the rules or Terms and Conditions. He did actually win the final round and we all congratulated him and then King never contacted him to invite him to the live finals. They picked players they felt that were playing the game "as intended". In this community All Stars 2023 was a nasty affair with a group of disgruntled cheaters accusing other players of cheating and they were offensive to some of us in this community including QueenB and later filed a class action lawsuit against King. In 2024 the All Stars forum was completely abandoned by the moderators and admin and no questions were answered by them at all. This year there is no All Stars forum, which is interesting. The hide the dragon method was also commented on after the Music Tournament last autumn by @pmin who specifically asked for a cap on candy count per level to be introduced to counter this method.

I have been studying the game since All Stars 2023 and I am sure that many of the changes we have seen in the past two years have been to stop this kind of thing from happening again, to streamline the game and to catch out any players who use such unconventional means to get ahead of others in leaderboard competitions. I honestly believe that most of the changes we have seen in the game in these past two years have been part of the drive to control which players can win All Stars.

These are some of the observations I have made over the past two years:

The end of level cascades have been modified to reduce the length of the cascade. First they introduced the dropping of odd coloured candies (usually red and yellow) after the last move cleared the level and more recently they added these odd coloured candies to the last moves as well.
This year large numbers of levels have been rewritten, including most of levels 1-3000 . Complexity has been reduced in those levels as well as in the end of game levels, most noticeably from level 18,000 onwards. This I believe is to control how many candies can be collected from these levels.
Chocolate and the frog and too many different elements all at once in one level make it harder to compute and control the algorithms. So levels have been simplified. I have found that most episodes score between 45,000 and 55,000 purple, they are essentially all the same now. Some of the more complex levels still remain in the mid range of the game giving those players an advantage in a "fair" playing field.
Lastly and most recently the new jelly fish were introduced. They drop out of nowhere on lucky boards and will eat candies underneath dragons to bring a swift end to a level for any player who might try to draw out the level to its final move.
The easiest way to draw out a level is when there are conveyor belts plus dragons. The conveyor belts have been completely removed from levels 800-1500. This is probably because King know that many experienced players choose to start a new account ready for All Stars and removing conveyor belts, together with the new jelly fish, make it sheer impossible to draw out the easy levels to the last move

After All Stars 2024, which I could not participate in for personal reasons I decided to test out if an honest player who uses no cheats strictly as the game intends can win the competition. It is possible that King read my posts and my calculations of how much gold can be accumulated by playing the game as intended and that this led to even more measures to prevent experienced players from taking over All Stars 2025. As we have seen this year, apparently they choose to exclude any players who have a "suspicious" amount of boosters and gold bars. King also apparently have introduced this cap on candies collected in one level.

I suspect that in the coming weeks we will hear from countless players who are seeing the event disappear as King crack down on any player who seems "suspicious" in their playing style. I am curious as to how this will play out this year.

With the new cap limit rules, you can't do this.

Well that was The beauty of it, using boosters does not count as a move so it was truly unlimited to the amount of boosters that you have and for most people that was a bottomless pit. I literally scored a million per hour if I wanted to.

I've been playing in these tournaments for a few years and I finally understand how someone can exploit a level!!

Once you put the dinosaur in the perfect spot, you can continue to collect candies to a near unlimited amount. Once you run out of moves, you can use gold bars to add purchase more moves and then collect more candies. I wonder what the limit is on a level.
