No longer able to exit an unstarted board without losing lives - Information and feedback

Dear community,

I'd like to share with you some information in regards to a god old known issue of the game:

as you may be aware, when we access a level, we don't use any move and we exit the level without playing it, we don't lose any life.

This behaviour was not intended since the very beginning and very soon, this issue is going to be fixed.

That means that, once it's fixed, if we access a level to check it out, we don't do anything and we decide to exit the level to go back to the map, we will be losing a life.

Hi Suzy! I remember this issue. Before I saw this, I didn't even know that the Free Board Reset was existing. This was the time that I started using this feature on Extremely Difficult and Impossible To Complete Levels. I am sorry @Pounawea but this proves that your Claim that this feature was an Unintended Issue is False. You have to admit that this was a Built-In Feature.

This Message Below Is For Everyone

This Free Board Reset was put in place for so many years for a reason. According to some players, this has been a part of the game for 7 years. Members/Players will have to put two and two together on this. Everything that King Games and the Team do are interrelated. How long has it been since Game Levels were altered, cutting down the moves and making them more difficult to pass or complete? How long has it been since members of this Community have been complaining of not being able to Send and Receive Lives from Friends? They knew that players cannot play without lives. Players have only 3 options to stay in the game: wait for the free 5 lives after 30 minutes; buy lives to play right away; or quit the game altogether to save money

Wasn't it recently that they created a Feedback Thread because they want to know what the members like about the Game? Wasn't it recently that they put up 2 Video Competitions for players to share their thoughts about the Team and what they love about the Game? The winners of these Competitions were randomly selected. King Games and the Team were not really looking for the best Video submitted. Otherwise, the winners would have been selected based on merit. These competitions were intended for collecting information on how addicted the players are.

Whether some of you here believe this or not, this Community was created as a part of the business strategy. They needed members to spearhead and keep this Community moving. Community Games for prizes were used to see who among these members would be good candidates based on their interactions and their level of gratefulness on these Threads. Loyalty is the criteria for picking members as volunteers to serve this Community. I don't know what these members get to win their loyalty. Are they worth not supporting the co-members when time comes? This is for them to figure out.

I am not here to pick a fight with anyone. I am here to open your eyes and give you something to think about.

I don’t think everybody blamed him/her. Please don’t take somebody saying “you” personal. It is not about a person. It is about the change. And now please stop leading the discussion into a direction of personal feelings of being blamed.

I also must say that someone who is a messenger has certain connection to the developers because he is informed about the change and he knows who to speak to.

All that I can do is post something here or write a message to King which I did and wasn’t responded.

So of course he will be addressed with the frustration and the rage. Because nobody who is not “only the messenger” shows up here and justifies what was intended by this change.

And now change it back, King!

Back in May it was an A/B test for some unlucky people. They then compared increased spending vs retention rates and made the decision to roll this out. Maybe one or two of product managers felt like it may be a bad karma to reach this level of ass clownery, but year bonuses for increasing revenue targets would not pay

Your observation on players not playing has been the most pointless part of being matched with a team. They don't PLAY and you are the one that gets nothing out of the effort. There is a way to match people with those that have played at least once in the past week as well as shuffling the team on a weekly basis. These are not my friends, I can't send them lives or get them to play so why are they part of a team in the first place? I'm stuck with a team of four that rarely play. This is one of the only ways I am rewarded with a hammer.
King doesn't care about making their players happy which is counterproductive. It's a proven fact that happy customers SPEND MORE MONEY and pissed off customers take their business elsewhere.

These are all messages when you open Candy Crush Saga. They might as well put on there, "Get ready to get your butt kicked by a computer game. If you like losing, this game is for you."
"If you're looking for something to relax with, don't play this game."

No offense, but this is how I feel now, with this change. I already was frustrated with "The Studio"...or whatever you call them...made the games harder by taking away moves and other things...but this is ridiculous. Now, I lose boosters and lives rolling the dice to see if I can get a good board. The game is about total LUCK now, and no skill. And most everyone has bad luck now with this change. Make the game FUN again, Studio!

I played this game for years. I accepted all changes. I am living with all the bugs like this sound muting which forces me constantly end the app and restart it (just learned in this thread I am not the only one)

i accepted I never hit the jackpot on the wheel of fortune in years which is statistically impossible and surely indicates it is not randomized.

But this reset disablement made me sign into this forum and keep on writing but I didn’t play a single game since.

Change it back! Change it back before Christmas holidays. Give us a present! A nice one. Change it back.

We are not here to argue with each other, we are here to be heard!
It is unfortunate that we can't speak directly to King Games and the Team.
We have to go with whoever can relay our message. @Pounawea's resilience
is put to the test with this bombshell that was recently dropped by King
at this time of the year. I surely hope that he understands how we feel in
the short period of time he has been with us in this Community.

No one is literally blaming the community manager or whoever announced this. How old are you people who are getting offended by the use of “you” in the responses to this post? Makes no sense. If you work for King and make this kind of announcement and people respond, you represent the company. When clients call me at my place of business and say “you did this or that and I’m upset” I know they aren’t saying me personally but the law firm I work for.

People are clearly not happy with this decision. Time will tell if it was a smart business decision or not. Personally, I’m playing a fraction of what I used to. Just not nearly as fun this way. Life will go on...

@Sofia1992, King can bring it back. It's called code.they built it once they can build it again. Mistake or not they jacked it up and pissed off the majority of the CC community. Now they need to restore faith. Until then I have stopped playing and hope the rest of the community joins the #boycottKingCC

Yet the data showed that the numbers never went down. I found it hard to believe. We are now up to 32 pages, should I take a count of how many have actually quit? Ok, maybe this time you guys are really not playing this week but for everyone of you that chooses to walk away this week, a new player will join. So I don't know how they collect their data but I was told many times that their data team always says that the numbers haven't gone done. Yes, perhaps this time it will be the long time players who walk away, but for me, I am just cutting back. Addicted or not, I can still enjoy the game when the levels are not insane. I have never ever tried to reset a level because I didn't like it. My brain never worked like that, just as it doesn't work like a lot of players who can look at the board to decide what my next move should be. I see a possible 3 and go for it! That is how my brain works. I can tell you that most of the time I end the level half way through when I see that I won't be able to finish it. I bet there are other players out there that do as I do but they just aren't coming here to express that. I am!

I don't know if I can say this or not but if I were part of a team who created the game, a programmer, I might take a different approach but I am not a programmer nor am I a part of their team. It's completely understandable that saying "you" in the comments may feel like a personal attack to the "superstars" when, in fact, it's not and you know it. It's just easier to say then "the developers and King". However, the words USED my the messenger invoked the assumption of ownership. He said "WE would rather you buy gold and boosters".

You said that the numbers of players never really takes a hit when the going gets tough and the loyal get going instead of going through the frustration of trying to beat ridiculously difficult levels. That may be true, but that's not the real point. The players that could were already spending money and now they are NOT. The more people come to the discussion to see why they can't reset, the more people spread the word, the greater the impact.

I haven't been playing for years, I stopped because it was so difficult and was no fun. Friends Saga is way harder than necessary as well. I loved it until the day came that I had spent days trying to beat a level that wasn't even in the 1000's. I recently opened CCS again and was thrilled to see the ability to get boosters by watching video ads. I have been playing every day since. Now these videos are also gone.
The maddening part about that is the fact that no too players have the same game opportunities to win races, spin for extra moves, watch ads, or even build the Booster Bot. My Mom had no videos on her tablet but did on her phone. I had them on both. She has never laid eyes on Booster Bot or Tiffi's holiday boosters. That is simply not fair.
It's also not fair for you to have contests to beat high scores when the Windows platform gives those players such a HUGE advantage over mobile players. They are able to score in the tens of millions while mobile players are lucky to just get into the low millions.

Got Booster Wheel Jackpot, But It Didn't Include the 15min UFO
I got the booster wheel spin jackpot today, and it looks like it's supposed to include everything that shows on the wheel. However, there was no 15 min unlimited UFO blaster (it showed it in the graphic showing you won the jackpot, but it was not in my boosters). Is this a known issue or just a one off glitch?
