No longer able to exit an unstarted board without losing lives - Information and feedback

Dear community,

I'd like to share with you some information in regards to a god old known issue of the game:

as you may be aware, when we access a level, we don't use any move and we exit the level without playing it, we don't lose any life.

This behaviour was not intended since the very beginning and very soon, this issue is going to be fixed.

That means that, once it's fixed, if we access a level to check it out, we don't do anything and we decide to exit the level to go back to the map, we will be losing a life.

These learnings are already helping me to understand and represent your voice and sentiment better.

Please tell "the Studio" that it's too late. I've stopped playing and won't be coming back now, regardless of what they do. They should have engaged us before making the changes, not afterwards when they realized they'd made a mistake. It's not the first time it's happened either.

A game that helped with my anxiety shouldn't be giving me anxiety!

There was no need to remove the feature to allow us to exit if we didn't make a move yet. It not like you're losing money by keeping that feature.

I like brain teaser games like most of in this thread. It's sad that you are willing to lose players because of this change you name that no one asked for...

The whole point of this is that the reset (it seems) is almost exclusively used by those who have achieved very high levels. It's a part of the game that allows us to preserve our boosters. Sometimes these boosters have been purchased and sometimes they've been won. Seeings how timed boosters have been part of the game that makes real boosters more important. Also I've noticed that winning gold is very rare now. The bottom line is that the ONLY reason to remove this is to FORCE us to BUY more from King. That's fine. I get it. But don't blow smoke up our asses and tell us that it's something else. This move makes me want to NEVER buy any boosters or gold. Never. What''s the use? It has no payback if we're going to lose them on a board where we have zero control of placement.

I'd like to confirm that today we won't be publishing the official announcement.

This is really becoming ridiculous!!! Hey there King and all your little minions, we all know that you made this decision simply for money. Just own up to your decision and let us players make the decisions for ourselves. Today is the first day that I didn't sign on simply to get to spin the wheel??? King is keeping us swaying in the wind by having "pounawea throw us a hint or two every day or so. They could have changed this a minute after they took it away and they're choosing not to. We have to accept their decision. To be honest...it's rather nice NOT to see any money come out of my checking account. Time to spend money on Xmas presents for the people in our lives that we love...NOT some game that triggers our endorphins and makes us feel good for a couple of minutes.

Hello community of Candy Crush Saga.My name is Bodea Florin and I'm from Romania.I play this game for a while.I played before too but now for about a year I play daily.I always watch Mrs Suzy Fuller videos on youtube.Thanks to her I learned a lot of this game.I m level 2296 now thanks to her.Please give back the right to go back and change the board if we don t like it.People are complaining a lot about this feature on Facebook groups too.Please change again because you will have looses.Hope all will be fine.Greetings from Romania.

Piggy bank was 60 gold bars now is 30 but the price is the same 3.49€

We can’t exit the board
we can’t use our boosters the way we want
we can’t win boosters playing “passing “ levels

I think that king made big mistake with all this changes
I will wait for some days to see if king will listen the players
if they don’t I will delete it

You're likely to get even more upset if you start over. King reduced the number of moves on over 1000 levels back in 2018, some by 76%. So some levels you used to play that had 50 moves? They only have 12 now.

I've registered here today to add my voice to those protesting the new "fix". Having been frustrated on the same level for several days now, I've decided to generously allow 3 days for King to un-fix this, during which time I will be relaxing with more player friendly games. If King persists in this insult to loyal players, I will delete my account on December 15.

One reset per day or boosters to reset or preview - that’s all rubbish.

No compromises here!

We want it back as it has been.

The only thing I would accept as a deal would be the possibility to locate the start boosters wherever I want. As this is very unlikely to come - just change it back.

Interested to hear though what the Studio is going to communicate.

Well, I am only on Level 3206 but since they took away the reset, I will not be buying any more boosters or “bargain” sets. I spent way too much time and money. Candy Crush was a nice distraction and mindless time suck for many years. But it may be time for me to go sugar-free!

What I wanted to say is that all the community ideas, suggestions and proposals for the game are important to me and they are going to be forwarded to the Studio. This way, they will be aware of the Community voice and sentiment and they can take your feedback into account.

As commented earlier today, the Studio will be sharing with us soon an Official communication in which we will get to read and understand the reason behind the changes applied.

Today community manager Pounawea has written that studio is considering giving one reset per day to which I totally disagree it should be same as it was previously. Abolish FIX and timed boosters from all events

As most that have commented, I also disagree with the recent change and would like the ability to back out of a level without losing a life and my boosters. Since this is NOT the first time this has happened, I’d like to understand why the change occurred in the first place (something that has not been addressed yet). Since everyone plays with the same rules, there isn’t an unfair advantage for one player or another; rather, the advantage goes back to the developers (as if they need any more since they’re writing the code).

King already controls which boosters can be used on any given level, so why impact game lives as well?

I’m beginning to hate candy crush
I’ve spent some $$ trying to advance but have sworn off wasting anymore money. I’ve been stuck on one level for over a week. It seems the only rewards given are when you don’t open the game for awhile
