No longer able to exit an unstarted board without losing lives - Information and feedback

Dear community,

I'd like to share with you some information in regards to a god old known issue of the game:

as you may be aware, when we access a level, we don't use any move and we exit the level without playing it, we don't lose any life.

This behaviour was not intended since the very beginning and very soon, this issue is going to be fixed.

That means that, once it's fixed, if we access a level to check it out, we don't do anything and we decide to exit the level to go back to the map, we will be losing a life.

Pouna you appear to be still as blissfully unaware as King that there are so many newcomers ONLY to complain about the changes, and they are telling you clearly they are going to

1.Stop spending money
2.Quit altogether if it is not changed back

So don't waste your time welcoming people when you could actually take note of the anger level of the once loyal community and pass it on. Of course we are angry - where did years of loyalty get us???

Also if you bothered to read the majority of posts - the No. 1 new strategies are
- DO NOT SPEND ANY MORE MONEY
- DO NOT PLAY AND WASTE TIME AND BOOSTERS

Pretty much collect any freebies each day, wait for it to change back. And if it doesn't change soon delete the game.

What part of this do you and King(Activision) not understand??? Its repeated heavily for over a week, hundreds of times and agreed with many thousands more.

What don't you guys get? Hoping it collapses from under you if you don't collectively grow a brain sooner than later and show us all some respect.

"Different Versions" explained

The following is an excerpt from Support's answer to a player's question regarding the difference between his and his wife's CCFriends game. He has no ad videos, she has none of the special features (like Booster Bot). As suspected, it's a calculated occurrence by King under the guise of "testing"... The inconsistencies of the games are not isolated to CCS, and it's been going on for YEARS. The link at the bottom is eye opening.

"To answer your question, even-though we have the same device and same version of the game -- the features we receive will be completely different like you said for your game and your wife's game! King does so to give the best experience to all their players with maximum features.

It is because, King Studio releases certain features to certain group of people at a time. And she and I and don't have the feature of "Rainbow Costumes" but are included in the group to receive the "free Ads for extra lives and moves";
And you are added to the group of people who can achieve the "Rainbow" costumes but not the Ads.

I don't know for sure because I'm not on levels that high... But looking at this particular board I see blue wrapped and striped side by side a few rows under the problem candy. Perhaps, if the locked cases don't whiff them out, you could have used those to hit the color bomb and see what happens. Its possibly hiding the candy you want, not replacing it??

Hi again, Crushers,

Welp, I spent the 3 days (and one extra) that I was waiting for King to un-fix it reading "The Count of Monte Cristo", which I'd never gotten around to before, thanks to mindless fluff like CC and FB (I quit Booking last year, and what a liberating experience!), and it turned out to be both more relaxing AND more exciting than Crushing ever was! I highly recommend it to those of you, who, like me, have grown weary of the game.

Placement strategy is crucial. It's no fun playing a hopeless board. I hope the studio restores the remaining players' ability to spend boosters where they are effective.

As for me, though, I thank them for dulling down CC to the point that I lost interest. I think I've gained something far more valuable. From now on, I'll be SPENDING my free time, not simply wasting it. I'm a few chapters into Dracula, and it's better than double color bomb combo!

After the introduction of “Fix” I have noticed the board which appears is very tough and we don’t have any option but to play and use boosters and for that you have to buy gold bars and king intention is that you buy gold bars and increase their business and in the same way they have done with sugar drops boosters they have timed it which are totally useless and again you have to buy gold bars and increase their business and for that reason they are adamant to return to previous systems. I appeal to players to play game but don’t buy gold bars

I can see that with this change I will soon stop playing candy crush. I’m on level 3398 and I have never spent even 1 cent on this game. I rely on getting boosters from the wheel, sugar candies, the helmet, etc etc, And when i use my boosters in a game I always reset til the boosters are together and will do some good. Not being able to reset is why I’m stuck on 3398 with little chance of ever passing. I refuse to use my boosters because with this change they will just deplete and be gone. Since I will never pay money to King, the end of this game is on the horizon for me. Too bad, it was a fun diversion for the couple years I’ve played it. But King won’t miss me cuz they never got money from me.

The most viewed thread in this community and still no sign of anyone from King addressing the issue. Unbelievable. The loss of being able to shuffle the board was definitely a game changer. I had given up. It was no longer fun. Tonight I decided to give it another chance but my iPhone and iPad didn’t update the levels and I lost all my lives trying to get them to sync. Good grief.

I just want to let you know publicly that some members here misinterpreted my previous comments in this thread. I was accused of working for King Games. It is understandable because they don't personally know me. I explained to them why I am not connected in any way to King Games. I told them that don't work for anyone, I don't have a boss and that I am Self-Employed.

In a message, you accused me of urging members to Boycott Candy Crush Saga. In my response, I explained to you why that is not possible because I love this game and I am a Candy Crush Saga Gamer/YouTube Creator with thousands of videos posted. I asked you to take me there but you never responded. If you did not delete my latest postings here, it would have been easy for you to see that I was right. I don't have any plans of leaving the Community as an answer to your question.

I want the members of this Community to know that I am not going to leave the cause without a reason. I am supporting this to the end. If one day all of a sudden I disappear here, it is not by choice.

Between this decision and their choice to no longer occasionally surprise players with an option to watch an ad and spin the wheel for more turns (at the end of the level), this game has taken decisive steps away from joy and fun. It’s rather heartbreaking to see.

I sincerely hope you all choose to listen to your customers and loyal fans. Bring back the joy of having the opportunity to be strategic with boosters (for certain personality types, strategy is VERY gratifying... I am one of them) and bring back the air-punching joy of suddenly, sometimes, getting to spin a wheel for more turns after a failed level. That little bit of hope makes me want to play more.

In case you wondered where all your booster money is going:

Activision, which bought King in 2016, last year made $447 million in profits, received a $243 million tax rebate and ended up paying a NEGATIVE tax rate of -54.4 percent.

Story is in today’s Washington Post. In case I’m not allowed to post the link, search keywords Jeff Stein, Christopher Ingraham (the reporters), and words from the lead: ”About 400 of America’s largest corporations paid an average federal tax rate of about 11 percent last year, roughly half the official rate established under President Trump’s 2017 tax law, according to a report released Monday.”

What about a year or so ago when they did this and reversed it? It’s not a fix, this has happened before & they put it back, why are they lying now? And hey, no reward boosters today either. Finally passed a hard level after playing 5 minutes a day before losing lives, and no color bomb for the next. What is happening to King?

I hope the Studio will have the decency to give the players one before the holiday break because I’m sure the Studio will be on holiday come Friday until the end of the year. Please do the right thing...😉👍
