No longer able to exit an unstarted board without losing lives - Information and feedback

Dear community,

I'd like to share with you some information in regards to a god old known issue of the game:

as you may be aware, when we access a level, we don't use any move and we exit the level without playing it, we don't lose any life.

This behaviour was not intended since the very beginning and very soon, this issue is going to be fixed.

That means that, once it's fixed, if we access a level to check it out, we don't do anything and we decide to exit the level to go back to the map, we will be losing a life.

I wrote the above on 11 December 2019. It's now 4 January 2020 and I did indeed do as I said I would. I completed level 6000 on 31 December, New Year's Eve. I timed it that way as I liked the symbolism - something ending and something else beginning.

I have not played any Candy Crush Saga (or any other King game) levels since then. It has in fact been surprisingly easy even though the game was such a big part of my daily life for more than two years. The "fix" utterly destroyed the game for me. It removed all enjoyment and brought just frustration and disappointment. So for me, there is no longer any reason to keep playing.

If the board reset function is restored I may start again, but the more time passes, the more I start to think that maybe I'm done for good no matter what happens.

Hi Eddie! It is OK. I didn't realize it, but my name and Facebook Photo were included when I shared a game ScreenShot. Not a big deal. You were right, my name origin is Spanish. I was named after my grandmother. My parents from both sides have mixed races. They are half Spanish from Spain.

You got the badge not from mentioning my name but from tagging members using the @ symbol. My name didn't have anything to do with it, unfortunately. 😊

I still help members in the Community once in a while but some needs a follow up from the CM. I tagged him in at least 2 but he never responded. I followed the games that he is frequenting. I know I wouldn't win anything from there but I want to see if he is going to respond to me but never got any. He responded to other players though.

That is one of the features I have never had in my game, thankfully. It would just annoy me.
My Mom has that on her tablet.

Chocolate Box
Booster Bot
1 spin/day Booster Wheel
Space Race
Fantastic Five
Race for Gold
Daily Win sticker
Treat Calendar

My Mom has the bottom 5, ad videos, and the scrolls on her phone. She's never had Booster Bot or the chocolate box. Her tablet has hardly any of them.

As I suggested to @mercerik and have been pondering since, a new thread with a same topic-new subject line could be created. Perhaps we can bring the good ideas we've seen here, that pounawea said are being seen in the "studio", and put them to a vote, so to speak. What do people want the most in the absence of the reset? ;o
I honestly don't think they care about this thread any longer and are watching it slowly die.
There are so many inconsistencies with this game across the platforms it's incredible. It boggles the mind to think that they can "fix" the ONE thing that every game had in common but do not care and can't be bothered to level the playing field. This game has "teams", contests, races, etc that pit players against players that have a HUGE advantage over everyone else simply because, well, that's a statement I can't complete because there's NO GOOD REASON for it.
Two devices, same account, COMPLETELY different games. The differences change on a weekly basis. One never knows what version of the game they are stuck with when they open it up each day, much less after the weekly update.
All of these things CAN be fixed. The game CAN be created equally. They CHOOSE to let it be a half-assed poor excuse for a "relaxing break". The flagship game has become that sad, old, antiquated bit of software that's more nuisance to them than anything else. They WANT players to quit so they can finally justify pulling the plug for good.
This is the slowest ever passing of a legacy.

I found the name nice and I liked to use it (I think its origin is Spanish or South American). Was the name of the wife of the guy who founded the famous brand and used it to name his cars. Didn't expect to receive a badge though :-)

It really is pathetic isn’t it? Why they chose to ruin a good thing? I notice my daily wheel looks different and I finally won the jackpot which was so disappointing as it’s just one of each booster. I’m guessing it used to be a better jackpot back when it was impossible to hit? I find myself playing other games now instead of candy. Sad.

I've decided to do other things in place of the time that I use
to play Candy Crush Saga. I have not played for days because
I don't get Boosters, One-Use or Timed. It takes 1 2 or 3 minutes
to play a Level. I don't want those to be wasted by playing with
nothing to help me to get out of a tight situation.

It is a New Year. New beginning. It is time to assess what
I should spend my time on. It was fun while it lasted. Now,
the fun is slowly disintegrating, maybe dying. In the past,
this was my go to game to get away from the
hustles and bustles of life but not
anymore I guess. The Old Year has left while the
new one is just beginning.
As the saying goes,
Out with the Old, In with the New.

Life goes on. We have to move on.
We can't dwell on the past,
otherwise we're stuck.

Very, VERY ANGRY about this. If it was "never intended" to be, it wouldn't have taken YEARS to "fix." Most of the recent changes King has been making on CC are not beneficial to the player. Rather, changes made benefit King...and King alone. They say these changes are to keep the game fresh, but that is simply a lie. King has been removing key features...one by one... to the game we love so much that we are playing into the 6000's. Candy Crush has been my best friend for several years now, but lately does things to make me question our relationship. Breaking up with an old friend is very hard and it's not something I want to do. KING, I implore you to listen to your kingdom of loyal Candy Crush players. I beseech you...bring back features that you have taken away. It's the honorable thing to do! Your subjects won't feel like you're beheading us one after another...after another...after another...

I’m beginning to hate candy crush
I’ve spent some $$ trying to advance but have sworn off wasting anymore money. I’ve been stuck on one level for over a week. It seems the only rewards given are when you don’t open the game for awhile
