Help with 2179

I have tried to pass this level for a week. I finally looked at a few videos for tips. In all 4 it shows the liquorish in 4 adjacent boxes being replaced immediately after the jack hammer clears the cake frosting. When I clear them my liquorish does refill until after 2 or more moves. Which makes it impossible to clear another 10 - 16 liquorish blocks. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks in advance for your time & help.
