I only get 5 lives renewing automatically my friend gets 8 how do I get 8?

Dear i am getting 6 lives when i get to finish any episode with the diamond trophy. No idea with the 8 lives but i think may be ur friend also achieved some target or he is in such a level. But i m on level 6995. So not sure about 8 lives.😓
