I have fond memories of the Kanawha River, as my husband's relatives lived in Point Pleasant and nearby towns. I always remember Chief Cornstalk and the Mothman too.

Definitely the red rose, as it's a symbol of love - and is also the symbol of the county where we live.

My cat, named Polly because she used to perch on our shoulders like a parrot, was a stray who came to our home when I was at a !ow ebb. She brightened up each day and I still miss her. The cat in this image is just like her:
