I don't think it's a glictch. When you switch to the community forum, it opens another app and your game goes to the background. If the apps in the background take up too much memory the system will close some of the apps to free up the memory.
Oh, is that the default setting for iPhone? As far as I know, when you start the game on Android phone, the app disable the auto-lock function. Whatever setting on the screen timeout has no effect. The screen remains on until the battery drained out.
