As you can see, I've got a few bombs and such that I could use if I got close, but I've never even gotten close. I'm on my sixth set of five lives trying now. I know what the round candy things do, and the striped ones just below the level clear a column, but there the most I've gotten before running out of lives is down…

I had the teaser for this a few days ago in game -- the thing on the top right that said coming in 3 days, etc .. but I don't have the event, and I've made sure I'm up to date. Frankly it sucks that they tease you about events that you can't participate in.
