Lost my gold bars!

Won bubblegum hill, got six bars which put me to a total of 8 once I got knocked off the pedestal. I then played my free 1/2 hour continuously and when that was finished went back out and it said I had 1 bar left! I didn't use them at all. Please help! I haven't won bubblegum hill in ages and was finally stoked to have some bars :-(
