Candy Crush Soda weekly contest
Last week and this week (that started today, May 10th), there have been 2 people, that I have never met or seen before that have shown up in my weekly leader boards. These 2 people are not in my list of friends who play Candy Crush Soda, nor are they in my list of friends, friends list.
Are you guys randomly adding players to our friends list? And/or are you adding us, to others players list of friends randomly?

You're right. The players are randomly broken into your game. You may be lucky to have a friend with you. Hope that answers your question.

I don’t like random players on my weekly contest in Candy Crush Soda. It used to be just my friends. The random players seem to have already advanced too far ahead when the contests starts.

@MizMolly sorry, we don't have control over who we play against. You can try adding more friends to drown out unknown players.

The community system adds any friends to your friends list or adds you to others friends list. And this might be players you know or not. But cause its added automatically and got nothing to do with it, you just can ask them for lives if you want or even send. There is no disadvantage for you coming up with being with unknown friends except being close with one and share lives always. That wouldn't go as plan, so try to send or receive lives from all in your friends list.

The first week of the weekly contest I finished 2nd. The second week I was 1st. This last week I got 2nd again. I received no gold bars. It's kinda crappy that I worked so hard for nothing. I should have gotten some for finishing 1st.

For all the missing rewards you have to contact directly to player support from your game. And as they have your game data i hope they will take a positive action in your favour.

Yes its randomly added for that week challenge. don't worry. Those friends who are not in your friends list got disappeared when week challenge Will be over. only your Real Friends Will be there.

I have the same problem and it's been going on for months. This weeks I don't know any of the people and "Arthur" who is in first place with 6 days to go already has 1214 levels completed!!!!! Really? Get rid of the random people and only have friends on the list. Other people I know don't have this issue!

Yeah it happens. Sometimes players really play so hard and can achieve a lot of levels at a given time. Try your best to pass as many as levels as you can so that you can win. If you try your best, you can pass lot levels more than that and win the prize!~
Just try to play very smart and pass all the tricky levels with getting help of videos and tips.

Hell @Xevious , @MizMolly and @BobRich - I wish you a very warm welcome to our Sodalicious Community. I know how frustrating it can be when these random people show up in the weekly challenge and deny you getting the top prize for completing levels during the week. Initially it was just my friends for a few weeks, but they weren't playing very much (if at all) and so I think the game started throwing in random people to make it more challenging for me (and to encourage me to complete more levels in a week). I too have started a week with some random person already having an enormous amount of levels completed. However I have noticed that every third week or so I have my opportunity again and can usually get first place.
@CandiceDenise - I hope you are having fun in the community. Based upon your comment I am assuming you are referring to who finishes a level first - again the game just picks random people for you to race against (usually using the time it took for them to pass the episode in the past). However If you finish in one of the first three positions you should definitely get your gold bar(s). If it happens again, please take a screen shot showing the position you were in and if you still don't get the gold bars, we can see what the CM can do.
