So how are the weekly contest team members picked? I usually finish all levels on the weekend and have to wait until Friday to play new levels. So if that happens, at the most, I can complete 45 levels. So on Sunday you are matched with a new team. Last week the leader passed 154 levels! So as you can see there is no possible way that this is a fair race! 45 is the absolutely highest amount of levels I could pass. So how is that a contest? Isn't there a way King could match players with a similar amount of levels left? That would make it more of a contest. Otherwise I don't see it as much of a contest when there is no possibility of winning.

I just with there was an algorithm that would team me up with people who complete the same(ish) amount of levels that I do so there would be some competition. As it stands, I don't even want to see who I'm playing against or how many levels they have passed because it just makes me mad.

I want to bring some light here!
I have been asking the Studio about this. As @tsenti0671 mentions this works with an algorithm that pairs players that passed more or less the same amount of levels during the week.
In the case of @tmwallace the player you were paired with passed the same amount of levels that you did the week before. That's why you were matched during this current week ( or the one you are talking about). Since this week you passed 45 and he did 154, for next week you will be paired with more suited opponents ( who will have passed a similar amount to your levels ). Obviously, that doesn't mean that they will pass the same ones during this week ( maybe the same, maybe more, maybe less)

It is a little bit complicated, but this is normal, because there are many parameters! Some players play 10 levels this week, 45 next week, none next week, etc.
A key point is to understand that its a game and we have to enjoy our gaming time!
For me, it is very good participating in contests, but without great expectations!
Last week I won 2 times gold bars on contests, without expecting anything!
This was a great surprise! 😃

How can I ever get the winner’s champion badge ? It’s Friday today, new levels will be released soon, but King only releases 45 new levels. Even if I play all my new levels, I still cannot win, not even 3rd place. It happens every week. I stopped playing for two weeks to accumulate more levels, I had 90 levels last week, I won, I had 15 levels to add on this week’s 45, but I still can’t win the contest this week. My first badge will be list, Do I stop playing for at least 3-4 weeks to accumulate more levels? Is there a chance for King to release more new levels? Or am I asking too much?

The issue I have is that it now picks random strangers. When it first started, it picked people from your Facebook friends list so you were only playing against your friends. With the way it is now, I just wish their was some way to "OPT OUT" of this contest so I won't see it anymore.
