Having the same issues about connecting to “bake a cake”. Been going on quite a few days now!

I keep trying to bake the cake but it tells me it's not connected.

I can’t collect any prizes nor connect with my team. Keeps telling me I have no Internet connect when I do and other King games work properly. Is this a known issue?

I went through the same problem. It started out with my team finishing up baking all the cakes and getting prizes except me. I didn't get any prizes and my bakery is still open with me being the only one playing. I tried logging out then back in. I struggled to log back in. I kept getting a message about no connection. So I uninstalled the app and installed back. It worked, but I lost all my boosters and went back 2 levels. I just hope when the bakery opens for my team mates I'll be included.
