After Ad screen goes black - (Collecting details for investigation)!

hi I am losing lives bonuses and boosters after the ad has finished or I click to progress the screen goes black and I cannot continue. So losing every only started happening today

Hi @Kathyrnn!

There seems to be an issue which is unfortunately affecting the game app! Rest assured however, the game team is aware of this and working as hard as they can to solve this but we don't have a timeframe for a fix just yet.

The issue seems to be corrected now, iPhone 7 and 7+, iOS 12.3.1. No black screen, but it seems sometimes there is no opportunity for extra moves after ending a game, with the gumball machine.

As others have noted, the ads have disappeared on my iPad. However, I’ve noticed on another of their games I play, Spider Solataire, rather than ads coming up every 3 or 4 games, they come up between every game, some you have to double close with an X on both sides of the screen. Guess they have to make up their revenue somehow and also not loose their advertisers. Surely they’ll get it figured out at some point!

I assumed that they have possibly disabled the ads, at least on devices that were causing the most problems? I've also noticed that the ads seem more likely to appear when I am on wi-fi. Not sure if that is accurate or not.

Now I have no ads- no extras? 😕

I too am having this issue now that the ads have been added to Candy Crush Soda. I lost two opportunities to complete a level with this black screen problem.

Is it solved already? Since mine still goes to a blank screen even though I watched the entire ad.

Ads seem to have stopped completely now, so no chance of extra moves or bonus booster. suzie-4

the problem for me does not happen if I watch the entire ad. however as others have noted some of the ads are really really long and not worth the wait for the extra moves bonus.

Hi @fourchrisi,

Thank you for chiming in. My sense is that we won't necessarily be notified here, usually with bug issues like this, the game developers start working on how to replicate the problem and then dig into the code to see what is causing it and how to fix it without messing up someone else. It may unfortunately take a few weeks, but my sense from earlier comments is that they are AWARE that the issue exists and that it is affecting game play for lots of us. It seems that for many of us, we are able to avoid the issue by watching the entire ad without hitting the "skip ad" button. But I gather that for some people, the black screen pops up even if they let the entire ad run until the very end. Can you clarify which is true for you?

Would like to chime in as I too have been having this same problem (screen goes black and game freezes after an ad plays) for over a week now. I play on an iPad and my device system version is up-to-date. Since I am new to this community, will we get notified when the fix is made?

Forgotto say. Playing on ios12 and iphone 6s. Same problem with both.

Game is now not worth playing.just like CEG-2 above, the screen goes black after the whole ad every time now. This applies to all ads for boosters and extra lives.Only way out is to shut down device and reboot it. So one game only before reboot needed. What a rubbish situation.

There seems to be another related issue too. Sometimes my boosters are also black. I don't have a screenshot but will take one when it next happens. Same issue with the black screen. iPhone XR iOS 12.3.1

I apologize in behalf of the team - we know how frustrating this issue is and, as mentioned previously, we take the fix as a priority. The information regarding your devices is of great help, as well as your post (@Khanada_Natasha) as it helps us narrow down the problems and try to solve it once and for all. I cannot specify a concrete time for the fix, since we do not know when will we be able to fix it.

All I can confirm is that this is indeed a priority for us, that we are working on a fix and that I will be here to inform you as soon as there are more updates.

Yep. Exact same issue is back for me as well.

Why I can't edit my profile?

Ads are freezing and having to close app each time
Whenever I choose to watch ads for a bonus or extra lives etc, the ads have started to freeze. It’s the ad for teaching or education or something. It’s so annoying. I’m losing levels because of it and happened about 6-10 times in the last hour I have been playing. What is causing this?
