Hi @Gayle412 and welcome to the community! Are you playing on an android device or other? The reason I ask is that we have had a few reports with android so far, but the studio are aware and are working on it. So don't reinstall the game 🤗

You might find you have to swipe the app closed though anyway for when they do push through a fix so the game is updated. That wouldn't cause issues.
