Which pub are you referring to? Double check that your app is properly connected to the internet - can you see other player's scores and what not?

Unfortunately I have seen a few concerns about this :( It looks like it was an intentional decision to limit the amount of lives you can collect in a day. So sorry about this...

Also, in some levels it is very difficult to get three stars. Sometimes it is best to not worry about that and just keep on playing through more levels :)
