This is very common problem among iOS users, it's not a problem with the game itself. First go into Safari and make sure you are logged into your FB account from the FB site directly. If you've already done that, clear cache from Safari and try again. When you hit connect in the game it should sign you into that account.…

There seems to be some Facebook connection issues going on and since the events and promotion run from being connected to Facebook or Kingdom, I'd say it's probably caused some issues with the contest results being stuck.

Yeah I'm also experiencing the same with mine at the moment, none of the general troubleshooting seems to have made a difference so it's looks to be on the game/Facebook side.
