That's not possible, progress is saved to your account and cannot be transferred to another. The only way you'll be able to carry on with your original progress on your new device, is by connecting your game to FB or King.com on your first device and then load up Candy Crush on your new device and link it to FB or King.com

It's just by chance, some get it and some don't. It always happens with new features and promotions, after a while it either gets scrapped or becomes a permanent feature that's released to all.

It's a new feature in Pet Rescue and judging by past history, the chances are it's going through testing where some get it and some don't, nothing can be done to change that. All we can do is wait and hope it becomes a permanent feature for all!

The hat normally just sits on top of your profile picture once you get it, does it not show up for you? I got it as well but didn't get a free switch though!
