15 days and no reply yet!
This stupid 'feature' wastes hours of valuable playtime for legit players every day, this is just unacceptable.
Are the devs even aware that this 'feature' is so hated since day 1?
Can we get any response?
This is not a good way to portray yourself as a gaming studio!
The players who's accounts are sabotaged by this 'feature' deserve an explanation by now!
Hello again @MaCoPi.
I thought @MightyWolf already warned you about not bringing this same topic and for your reply (which was not nice) after I answered your question on PM. Updates have schedules, which means they can't just randomly change one thing or another unless it's a emergency (like very bad exploits that are easy to fix). Even @QueenMia don't have the power to randomly request a unscheduled update to change one thing (even if the majority of the people want it). Please understand that there are people above the developers (the superior "higher ups") which have the major control of the schedule of updates.
I wouldn't have to spam here if some explanation was just given after my first post 3 days ago.
If the game was build in a logical way, no update would be necessary to remove this feature from my account, there should just be some flag somewhere that states this feature is active or not. And since MightyWolf's involvement in our teams players getting unbanned seemed to have helped I hoped you 3 might be able to be of help in this issue.
I can tell you, it's not very smart of those making the decisions to use the players who make them money as labrats in some test on how they can make the game worse. Which to be fair, most of the thing thrown at the players this seasons aren't making the game more enjoyable.
I also feel like most of these test should have been done during the 4 months beta, so it would upset way less players.
But thanks for the explanation, I appreciate it.
I'm on @W35Gamer 's side regarding updates. Those can't be rolled out as soon as either the players or developers would want. You can't rush updates in any form of project development, as they can easily cause more issues than they solve. However, I think the main issue this season, more than during the first, is that the decision makers have no clear idea on how to balance the game's economy.
There's first the issue of this so-called feature being pushed when no player asked for it. I don't think it is based on any player feedback. It seems more intent on forcing us to spend crystals more often to avoid losing even more time.
There's also, imho, the issue of locking behind a paywall (other than the Bandicoot Pass) 4 of the 5 skins with bonus on ingredients that only players reaching the last two levels would need. Actually, all of the 4 skins that can only be bought directly through MTX can only interest the players in the current last stages of the game. That means the most invested players, those whose patience is actually starting to run thin, are being targeted by the decision takers.
Granted the rewards for the two passes this season are a little better than the previous one's, it still seems like a smoke screen for what is really being tested. I fear that ill intent towards players is going to be much worse next season.
The approach that has been chosen, not announcing what is happening for how long and why, just made things way worse.
If there just would have been a topic announcing there would be some test running for the whole duration of the season (please be 'only' this season), explaining what 'features' are being tested and the necessity of these tests/features, it would have been a lot more acceptable compared to just letting your players run head-first into a giant concrete wall.
But we all know why that approach wasn't chosen, don't we?
I think it's in the communication about this gone completely wrong. It was only ever on Twitter. It's also in the unfairness of not affecting all players. And also that nobody know why he's affected or not.
So yeah, communications about it gone wrong. Or better, completely missing.
Sure they can update the game whenever they want, with whatever they want. But we, the paying costumers, can demand an explanation, if they want further money from us.
I understand that the frustration also is on both sides, moderators just can't change anything, that's something community manager should handle. But to be honest, if moderators silence demands for clear communications like this, on the public players channel of the company, that's another reason to question if to invest further. Be it time, or money.
We are consumers though, not customers. And yes, the lack of communication in general from the developers and King is really problematic.
Even with the latest update I'm still getting this. How long is it going to take them to sort this out. They litterally enabled it as if they flipped the switch for half of the players, but it's a struggle to remove it?
It's still going on. When are they turning this off? They didn't take long flipping it on. Why's it taking so long to turn off?
Why should they turn of something that proofed to make them more money? Just realize that they do not make the game to make us happy. The last time has shown it. Nobody wants random start, insane speed, frequent crashes, missing or crashing ads, loosing all accumulated steps, crazy prizes in the Vending machine. They will not listen to the players who loved the game and Crash Bandicoot. All they listen to is how they can make more money out of it. Out of us.
Speed is ok. Still i would have liked to have control on it based on the map i'm going to play.
Bugs are bugs, i'm giving them time.
Random spawn is a nightmare, no matter who you ask, it is hated by everyone.
What i cannot understand anyway is the lack of comunications. We said we don't like it. We are asking what they plan. Someone come here to say about schedule. Ok... but what is that they're planning?
My experience in videogames is telling me that when there is a lack of comunications often is cause a bad thing should be told to players, and they may not like it and, for this reason, nobody want to come and say it.
Now, is too much if i ask if they plan to remove it or keep it for the rest of the game? And if they plan to remove it...when?
Simple questions, easy to answer. Now all i need to see is if this question will be answered and, if not, i will get my conclusion.
Well, as you said, people hate to deliver bad news.
Despite the Fans of Nitro Fueled bugging every post of Beenox, Crash and Activision it took them 3 Mobths to say "Well, yeah, that has been the Final update".
Also the fact something happened behind the scenes to make our former Community Mod just quit CotR and King in General... Its a bad sign.
It's so sad, because I don't think the Devs want to do stuff, but there are greedy corprates that tell them to do thtat stuff... Either way, we players are the ones who have to deal with the consequences so it doesn't matter that much.
I still wanted to throw that out there, because the people working on the game give the impression that they actually care a lot about Crash and this Game... But what can you do if your superior tells you to ruin the game for a quick buck or else be fired?
