I found an excellent video on YouTube which I will post
below all these steps on how they are made.
Only the finest lime wood will be used to create these dolls.
Once they are cut down to size, the wood gets examined
for quality and if the wood is soft inside it gets rejected.
The wood is then carved with razor sharp blades with
incredible precision and then sanded. Thousands of dolls are handcrafted every day.
Before the dolls get painted they must be treated with potato
paste because the paint would absorb into the wood without this process. This process is similar to today’s
primer. Each doll gets 1 count per day
for 3 days before it is sent over to be painted. The painting is completed by a team of three. Each one of the team paints a different
section (outline, blocks of color and the flowers).

Once each doll is completed, they are given a coat of lacquer
to protect them from wear and tear.

The dolls are assembled and packed. They are shipped to souvenir shops.
Here is the video link where you can view the entire process in stages. It takes a few minutes to see the entire video but well worth it.
