I did it! Before the extra moves were added! 29 moves and 3 stars. 747 was entirely possible without the tweak. :)

Thanks, nBoo! I did manage to make it through before the tweak. I was just impatient when I posed the question. Now 739 is the big challenge. I do love this game!

@nBoo Thanks! I had gotten 4 cheese chunks - so close. Two more moves should do it, but it won't be easy. Easy isn't fun anyway. :)

I passed it after about 7 tries with no special tricks or boosters. 3 stars and 11352 points. :) The French video for this level shows you the strategy.

Hey Jello - yup, you got it. Those are the locks I was talking about. Seems like maybe it's a feature they never implemented. I've looked for other word games, but none come close to Alphabetty. :) TTFN
