I am connected to the internet but Farm Heroes Saga continues to try and connect. I have restarted my computer and that didn't help. I also can play Candy Crush Friends with no problem

I am sorry to hear about the issue you are having with the game!
I am assuming that you are on Windows 10, since you are playing Candy Friends game also!
From how long have you been having this issue? Did you try to clear cache, etc, troubleshooting steps and see if the issue resolves?
If you have tried everything, I am afraid the only thing that is left now is to reinstall the App. But, please be aware that once you will be losing all your saved up boosters once you delete the App. And those lost boosters will not be reimbursed by the King team unless you have purchased them with real money!
