@EOTheGr8 I know. I live in hope one day he will change his mind if the perfect cat comes along. The funny thing is we have one from two doors down who spends a lot of time sitting with him in the garden and he adores her! My daughters cat was meant to be a girl (hence called Luna) but turned out not to be...I think if he had been it would have been different. He thinks a lot of him but not enough to want another. But Luna is very independent, a proper boy you don't see much of him as he likes to be out. Maybe when he is older. I saw him at halloween though and he was giving me the biggest fuss and purrs so I think I need to go babysit down there one evening for a change and hope he is in early π
My eldest son has two cats, one was a replacement as the original was run over π₯ but the newer one is having kittens.
My second oldest has five, two are cousins to Luna π
I am a farmer's daughter, we have always had cats, they certainly help with vermin. Where the farm is positioned is close to a very busy and over speed B lane, it is 30mph where we are, on the start of that many of the farm cats have lost their lives.
I moved 20 minutes away by road to a village that we could afford to have a mortgage on 24 years a go.
I want to move back, into my gran's house which I currently holiday let, but now I have 5 adopted cats of my own, and this poses a serious problem, as the cats are used to a no through road, an un-used railway line and hunting ground, totally extreme from the road there.
I do have a litter tray, and very regularly pick up each day after my cats. I am conscious about peoples gardens as well as my own, but it does not stop me from loving my garden. There are ways. Wouldn't be without my cats. Alone as a kid, now in my 50's, same old. My cat's are my world and company.
@Racoon7 we tried everything!! Pepper, garlic, forks in the garden, citrus (he rolled in it cos he tried it in the one window sill he wasn't allowed in) in fact everywhere we tried things he pooped just to let us know it wasn't working π
then it became a territory thing with all the hood cats.
maybe one day as we want to move too. We are in a rural town where everything shuts by four and the bus service gets further apart after 6... if they don't break down. We want to move somewhere where we can walk to somewhere like maccies for a coffee at 8 at night if we want lol. He did say I could have a cat if I moved back down south but I don't want to move back there (he does) too far from the kids. So maybe there is hope if we go somewhere he is happy π we don't have friends (never have) so it's just each other and the children.
I hope you manage to find a solution for your babies so you can move back x
