Unfortunately we cannot it seems. But it seems you and I are on the same wavelength, I rarely used the older ones as sometimes they were not helpful.
However I think we need to give them a chance while we are gathering feedback. You've been very helpful with it and all feedback is being seen by the studio ๐

Nooo you can't do that! The studio is seeing all the feedback, I must admit I hope they listen to this one, I would rather have the option of choosing to use even if free!
Stick with us because sometimes they do change things based on what they hear. I cannot guarantee it but its worth a try!

I haven't heard the pinging noise but I will turn my volume up, but as to candy, if you want to go leave your feedback over here they will pass it on ๐

same here...hate being forced to use companions. All it does is screw up my next move.

They look nice but I also don't like to have obligation to use them especially levels with bulls. Also insted 250 beans you get only 40 beans for 3 stars now and there is less and less Events you can earn them. You have also then to decrease nos of beans for buying showels for example 40 beans for 3 showels ๐ค.
Also rewards in Events decrised dramatically insted 10000 beans you get only 2500 beans now for last level.

Can I just say - I HATE these new companions. I want the old ones back! I liked the choice of when to use them. And they were a lot more useful than these new ones. especially as they don't 'mature' unless you manage to complete the level. As I'm playing a super hard level - completing it isn't likely to happen quickly and now these companions are making it harder as they keep spoiling my next planned move!!
The events don't work for me either - they never show, I just have the "new events coming soon" message - even though my team chat tells me an event is running. I tried to find out why, but couldn't find an answer.
I'm on level 836, and have been playing for years, but am seriously considering leaving after this change.

@Pipsqueak1 Have you checked the app store for updates? You won't get all the events but you should get some. They only appear on the windows 10 app or a mobile device though,
I found that on hard levels too but please don't give up yet ๐

I don't like that you now HAVE TO use a companion to play. It should be optional. Beating a level without using any "buffs" always felt like a greater accomplishment.

So now I have the new companions unfortunately also.
Yesterday I tried to redeem the earned boosters of the old companions, unfortunately I was not credited with a single one. ๐
I had not redeemed any booster before and had played all the companions that were available.๐๐
With the new baby companions it has to be said that the "Buster", which also breaks up oysters, unfortunately makes no sense at all. ๐
The old companion "beater" removed already opened oysters (makes sense), the baby companions does not remove opened oysters!ย
He opens new ones and it makes no sense to use him, because he opens any oysters anywhere, but does not remove the already opened ones.๐ฃ
What can you use the beans that you can earn in the special quests?
