It is not the mobile version. It is the new Facebook version as required by Facebook's wish to abandon Flash. You can play the older version if you use Internet Explorer or play at king.com for now but there is no promise that this will remain the case.

The update only affects Facebook. king.com is still using the Flash version. Have you actually tried updating Flash?

You have the updated Facebook version. You can play the older version by using Internet Explorer or by playing at king.com but I do not know how long those options will remain viable. As you should know Facebook and games companies are looking to move away from Flash altogether because of security and other concerns.

While this was originally set at 40 moves it has been reduced to 17 on all devices since. It's quite normal for move limits to be changed to reflect the experience of the first players.
