Do you have the Season Pass @Maho38F ? If yes, and your version is like mine, you can complete it by replaying easy old levels, even if you're stuck. It will take some time, but it grants a UFO, color bombs, and some other boosters.

There was a feature that allowed you to view the board before making a decision on whether to spend gold. It didn't last long, and they got rid of it. I wish it could be brought back, I found it to be very useful.

It makes no difference whether I pay 10 gold for an impossible Super Hard level or an impossible Legendary level at my level range, so the feature would make sense, but not for a 10-minute hammer reward. I would always, always skip purple in the old-style box because of the lack of really good levels. And this task requires winning levels, unlike the old box, so maybe not a glitch, but a new task added for variety.

I got it as well this week. For me, it happened after completing the previous card, so no progress was lost, maybe I just got lucky.

I saw it too. Interestingly, the only color collection task that allowed old levels I have seen was also collecting purple. It came up in both of my games, but only once.
