Sorry this is happening to you. Please take a screen shot the next time. Please contact customer support about your missing gold bars if you've updated and restarted your game and they still are not there. I've had no problem receiving my gold bars from the episode race.

That depends on where you want to change it and how you play. Do you play on facebook or through king? Or is it your community password you want to change? Let us know so we can give you more exact help.

That is how it normally works. Once you claim your rewards it disappears and when you play a level it comes back. But for some players it takes a much longer break and that's a glitch or just the event not being available to that player. Mine was missing for a few weeks a couple of month ago.

There are not many ways to get gold bars these days. The contests are fun and you can hope to win some there. The best way is to win the episode race, that will give you 5. Good luck.
