Charleyfarley I totally agree about the lollipops/switches. Way better than anything requiring new levels. For end of map, basically it seems like you have a chance to get 2 or 3 boxes done if you're lucky before being forced to do a bunch of new levels.

Unfortunately the colored candies on new level wins options do NOT work with the Star Tournament. I am worried about my current task (960 red candies on new level wins). But most of the other tasks seem to be working in the Star Tournament.

Teenybee, you and I really have similar versions of the game. I have the same issues. I did catch some critters about a year ago, but haven't seen any since, despite often getting the popup.

I stopped getting the extra moves plus UFO offer about 4 weeks ago. Prior to that I would receive them a couple of times every other day. On another thread somewhere, I asked about it and others said they were still getting the offers with UFOs. So it's not consistent, like everything else in Candy Crush these days.

Yes, candy bombs still exist, but they're rare. I know for sure there are a couple of levels in the Star Tournament that I see every week that have them.

I agree with this assessment, Christine. It seems likely that when they switched away from competing with friends some months ago, they switched to using recordings from earlier, just as you suggest. Your theory accounts for all the evidence quite nicely.

More specifically, Star Tournament levels do not count as new levels for the chocolate box. You can use them to complete some tasks, but any task that says "new levels" cannot be done with Star Tournament levels. We have complained to the developers that we think it would be more fair if they did, but they have so far done…

Agreed. I somehow need to get 980 red candies on new levels. I'm wondering if it will even be possible with the 60 new levels on Wednesday - there's no guarantee they will be providing a decent number of red candies in those.

I completed a third chocolate box right away; the last option was 34 starting boosters, which I used in the Star Tournament. Keep in mind those boosters are practically free for someone who watches lots of ads; I have over 3000 of color bombs and striped/wrapped saved with no way to ever use them all. So that is an easy…
