What is the caged box that has a rotating stick and how do you destroy it?

I'm playing level 9 of a special weekend game. It seems impossible to figure out what the box is doing and why it cannot be destroyed with a rocket.

Hey bedler, the caged box can be removed by popping blocks next to them or by using the Mesh Mash booster which makes the caged block turn into a normal block.
