Why do I lose my lives from friends when I play Pet Rescue Saga?

When I play Pet Rescue Saga on FB I often receive lives from friends.  But I already have full lives!  So if I claim them, I lose them.  But if I wait and play first, then the lives disappear as well.  What's the point of having lives from friends if one can never use them?

Hi sanlass,

I know that lives on Facebook are valid as long as your Facebook session lasts. So if you refresh your page or logout and log back in, then you´ll lose those lives and messages.

On mobile devices, these lives and messages tend to be saved.

You can use the lives on Facebook, but only in the same session.

Yes, I saw that comment earlier but I DON"T log out or refresh my page. I just play the game then the envelope with my gifted lives disappears. As soon as I read it and close it, it disappears. As soon as I play then look for it, it disappears. I cannot claim those lives if I have any at all.
