No wheel so, how do I get hammers, gummies, color bombs, etc?

I recently started playing Soda Crush. When I saw no wheel but yet managed to have bonus goodies, I assumed you must acquire them another way as in stacking up points or something. But I used everything up a while ago and have gotten nothing new. Playing with just my wits now isn't going to cut it. Is buying them the only way to acquire more?

    The game can be played without any boosters. You are correct in saying that there's no bonus wheel but King run plenty of promotions to get yourself boosters so keep an eye out for these when you're playing :)

    By promotions I assume you mean to purchase at discount. What I'm asking is if there is any way...other than making a purchase...to get special pieces.
