I have a Kindle 8.9 which I know is old but still it keeps up-to-date with Candy Crush. But it has stopped downloading and updating Pet Rescue saga as of about five versions back. The Amazon Game section of the App store shows that the 1.280.14 is current. But mine stopped updating at 1.268.24.
I have completed all the levels I have installed or 4032 is done and I have significant gold silver and boosters. Further I have played over 500 consecutive days and wonder if I am done with this machine.
I have created this account but I cannot connect with my kindle to backup at least the level and gold bars. I reported that in another discussion. But I also wonder if there is a way to get this older kindle up-to-date with Pet Rescue Saga. FYI I am up-to-date with Candy Crush at level 1.197.0.1 which is still auto updating as of 3/4/21.

To get help directly from the game: Go to the settings gearwheel in the game, then tap on the question mark. You'll be directed to the help center. There you look for your problem and follow the steps. If you cannot find the issue or the provided steps don't solve it, then scroll to the bottom of the same help center page and tap on 'Contact us': There you come to the contact form. Please fill in in your language. Please note that everything is spelled correctly (that is important): and send it. You will then receive an automatic email. Please answer to it and describe your request. Submit. And have some patience for the answer. If you don't get an answer after 3 days, please try again.

Sorry about that my word choice was not clear. I submitted to Help/Kingdom as you suggested. They not you but they responded with an auto response that was not helpful. Your suggestions and assistance has been great. But I still am working on it.
To put a possible end to this I have ordered a new kindle latest version etc and will get it in a few days. I will install from the app store the latest version I hope and get up and running again. The only unhappy issue with that is that I loose all the boosters I have on the current machine. That is a significant loss. I have been playing for years.
And also have to assume that my consecutive days played will reset to zero. But again that will grow quickly.

The 'internet blocked' message is actually a 'facebook blocked the data' message!
Facebook sometimes sees game data as a virus and will not allow your game to connect to see your friend list and progress. Logging out then in again to facebook can help.
Also, @littlemissmim08 have you checked your facebook permissions recently? This can also cause the data to be blocked.
Have a look at your facebook game settings at this link below and check that the game permissions have not expired and use 'view and edit' to check that the game has access to your friend list.

@sringbean I have other friends who also have the same problem on their Kindle, I wonder if it could be the age of your device that is the problem?
It could also be worth checking your app permissions (as described in the comment above)
