It was a nice festive addition to the game, but I was never that engaged in my city.
It was beautifully made and very nice to do. Visuals were wonderful. I always have the sound off.. but by reading previous messages it seems I missed out on some lovely music by my own fault. My compliments to the makers of that place. They have done such a great job.
Only I don't understand what you mean by - interacting with Petopia. If I clicked on an animal - it responded something in the line of - I am buzzy right now. Or I could occasionally give a ball or a donut. Was there more interacting to do? They were all happily walking around. Treasure digging was nice. Were there more treasures to dig in the first petopia?
I was not aware that it was a time thing and that you had to finish 65 levels and save up to a certain number of pets to receive a prize. I might have overlooked the "what to do and how to do it". Probably if I had known better about the timelimit and petsamount I could have played more. There are always a lot of publicity things - left bottom flickering - in the game - why not the message - only XX days left in that list etc.
I collected a lot of presents under my Christmastree.. but opening them was some disappointment. 95% were hammers. I would have liked some diversity in that.
In the regular dots line of games there is always a treasure chest at the end of some games and the possibility to win unlimited life/time and the little presents sometimes in the middle. It might have been a perceptive thing on my side but I have the feeling the presents are more diverse in the regular game while in petopia the presents were mostly the same.
I don't know if the - letting your pet grow with red blocks - is part of this petopia or a different thing.. but that part is still blocked for me and I keep on receiving the message - oeps something went wrong - we try again nexttime. I asked for support on that and am still waiting.
So all together summarized, beautifully made - my compliments to the team, fun to do, enjoyable to look at, probably missing the point on what to do and how to interact, missing the deadline info and thinking the regular game gives better prizes to win.

I really liked the event both from a graphic point of view and for the rewards because it pushed me to replay after a long time that I didn't do it anymore. It would be nice if there were more often and I would propose the possibility to choose in the map the levels to play where you save the pets by skipping levels clears blocks that do not earn you anything in terms of rewards and progress . The final reward for those who complete all the missions must however be more important (es. gold bars )
