Hi @JoieDee the only butterflies that count are the ones freed from the jars. These take at least 15 blocks to release (and more if they are small groups of blocks)
The small butterflies that you see flying away are from excess blocks...for example your butterfly needs 3 more to be full and you click a group of 5 blocks, 2 of these will fly away.
It would be great if they could hang around and go to the next butterfly in a jar that needs them!
