Duplicate tabs cost gold bars

I have now lost 27 gold bars for no reason because of the duplicate tabs issue as well as simply having my game get stuck when trying to use gold bars to win a level. The gold bars were taken even though I didn't advance in the game.

And today I tried to play the Critter Carnival and it took the gold but wouldn't let me play the game. I've spent too much money on this game over the years for this to be happening.
