Are we ever going to get a replacement for the Treasure Chest or do we just have to keep paying to play in order to get boosters? Now after you finish the 4 hard levels all that we get is hammers? C'mon people you can do better than this!

You're right: the Chest Quest has been removed, and there are no current plans to bring it back. That said, the Studio is actively working on new ways to reward players. While they may not replace Chest Quest exactly, the goal is to offer fresh and more engaging ways to earn boosters. More news will arrive soon!
