The good news is: after Level 75 of Petopia, they will stop giving you buildings, and will give you some hats or more pickaxes (to dig the treasures) instead. I have been begging for a chance to use the dinosaur to “demolish” the treasures for a better layout of the city, even if you don’t get a prize, but for now, that is not an option.
What I found is that it’s better if you sort of plan your layout in advance, that way, you have to get rid of less treasures to reach the shape you want.
For example, my previous city looked like this:
It still had more treasures than I wanted to have, but at least they weren’t on the way.
