It would be really interesting to know what drives designers to downgrade a game that everyone likes. Is this a passing exam for new designers?
Thanks for the follow-up. Personally I had uninstalled the game: design too childish and it hurt my eyes too much. I might go see if the old design is maintained. Because they have already backtracked but it did not last. Let see.
they reverted back because everyone hated it and then reintroduced it anyway

Mine has now reverted back to the previous graphics. Thank goodness! I hope it's the case for everyone else. I'm glad they listened and scrapped those awful "updated" graphics.

still there today had a look at daily challenge but no point trying to play it. Clearly they want everyone to delete it?.
I really hate it I was sooo disappointed when I seen the change I didn't feel like I was on the right game,it's slower looks like kindergarten homework, just change it back it was better
It is awful!! Very childish..change it back!!!
New design is rubbish. Low contrast between elements, colour pop balloons are not the same colour as the blocks they are popping, colours are virtually psychedelic, the bombs in ice and fire are hard to distinguish and look very similar, design is so flat and boring and the 3D effect they used to have on the blocks is gone. How on earth did they approve this?

I absolutely hate it. It looks awful, feels slow and the graphics are childish. I've been playing for years but I won't be while it looks like this. What a total downgrade. I'm so disappointed. If something's not broken, don't fix it. At the very least level up, but this is ten levels downâŚ
