Hi there, I am sorry to hear you do not have the Christmas theme as your husband does.
I am afraid that the game studio usually run test with these features that may cause them not to be available for everyone and perhaps alternate with different features instead which is why your husband do and you do not.
Unfortunately I can't tell with certainty if you will have it but make sure to keep your app updated as there is always a chance.
