Years ago, I used to play Pet Rescue Saga with the sound on. I stopped when they introduced the items with a countdown (like those in the image) because they were extremely annoying to me.
However, with the new styles of Petopia, and the fact that each one of them has different music, I started putting it on again, out of curiosity. I found that the game sounds within the levels had changed. Now they are nice and subtle. I also like the new sound when the pets are rescued, and the background music is very enjoyable.
