I think if your friends goes to the settings in your app and disconnects from facebook and logs back into his facebook, then his levels should go back to normal. Try it! 

Hmm, try and go into the app settings and you should see a button to log out or disconnect from facebook, maybe by disconnecting your game will go back how it was? Try it. 

I've seen a few posts about this so I'm guessing it's on King's radar. Can you try on King.com see if it works there? I know you can sync your game in the settings so give it a go.

There was a level update recently so check out the app store again now, there should be more levels :)

I'm sure you've come across a few frustrating levels before. I think its fair to say that having designed over 1000 levels then the levels now are bound to be more difficult, these are for full on candy crush experts.
