If the Facebook server is unavailable then there's not much you can do as it's normally an issue their end. Try and clear your phone cache, restart it etc but its probably a temporary issue with Facebook.

I recommend clearing out your browser cache etc and then reloading your browser and game. The cache saves data and it might have some old information that's stopping your game from loading.

i think its been removed from older levels, I only see it now when I'm playing and not when I look back in the map. I guess its just on our future levels now.

You just need to go to the app store on your tablet and download the latest update. There's over 1000 levels available so you have a lot of catching up to do ;)

Not all game updates have new levels in them. If you read the update description in the store it will say what it contains :)

There are plenty of players that have made it to the higher levels without paying a penny. I guess it just depends on how fast you want to pass the levels, how patient you are etc.

This is a normal part of the game. There's a little message that says something like 'your lives are only available the first time you play'. This means if you leave the game after you first log in, you will lose any messages.

Do you have any of the 50 gold bars left from when you first got the app? You can use 9 of those if you don't want to wait. I'm not sure why the clock went back. You're not changing the time on your phone?
