I wonder if its something that is triggered by the game then. I am on apple but I seem to get notifications regardless of what is open which is really annoying. Try this one for turning off while playing games I also found this on another site " You should be able to set DND for games by going into your main settings menu…

Ok then. You don't have to. Its a free to play game. It just takes extra patience without paying. I personally am happy to support games with paying for items, I know they cost to run. However, I too agree that you shouldn't be forced into paying. That is no fun.
