When you connect your game to either Facebook or Kingdom, your progress and gold bars are saved and can be loaded onto another device by reconnecting to that same account.

Try this out, go into Safari and make sure you are logged into your FB account from the FB site directly. If you've already done that, clear cache from Safari and try again. When you hit connect in the game it should just automatically sign you in.

I've had that, if it gets stuck there again just disconnect from Facebook, force close the game, reopen and reconnect to Facebook again. The treasure chest should open and let you move on then.
