When I log on and go to play I cannot get any days on my buddy bonuses. I can switch buddies, but I never get more than one day of logging in. I used to get rewards after the third day, but it is not working and I cannot nudge my buddy or anything.

If your 'best buddy' did not connect and play for the 3 days then you will not receive your rewards.
You can also only have one buddy at a time and you can only poke your buddy once they have accepted and you are both playing.
