As long as you actively connected your game to either Facebook or Kingdom, your progress will be saved and synced to it. If you did, when you reconnect to that account in the game again from any device, the progress from the point where it was last synced will come up.

On the levels that you collected those suns in, did you also complete them or did you get the level failed message?

This was updated a few weeks back, the target was lowered to match the 41 jellies present in the level, making it possible to complete. Are you playing on Facebook or are you playing on a mobile or tablet?
