Including different tile types in the words you create can help you reach your target scores, and even clear some tricky obstacles.
Silver tiles
Silver tiles will double the score value of the tile.
Gold tiles
Gold tiles will double the score value of the word it's used in.
Blank tiles
Blank tiles can be used to substitute any letter. Just go ahead and create your word with the blank taking the place of the one you're missing.
Bubble tiles
Bubbles will cover the tile and you'll need to create a word using the tile, for a bubble to pop. If the bubble has multiple bubbles inside it (you can see they're different in design), you might need to pop it more than once for it to disappear. Only once the bubble is completely cleared, can you match the tile again and remove it from the board.
Line blaster tile
You can find these on some levels, but you can also create them! By making a word of five or more letters, you can increase the number of directions the blast will strike. 2, 4 or 8-way blasters can be created, so make your word as long as possible! When creating a 2-way blaster, the direction you link the last letter of your word will determine the direction the blaster you'll take.
Crowned tile
Crowns are created when you make a 4 letter word. The crown will land on a random tile, and you'll need to create a word which uses a crowned tile, for the crown to be triggered. Crowns can do a number of things, including the following:
- Destroy a random tile
- Pop a random bubble
- Destroy a random tile under a falling cheese chunk
- Spreads cheese in growth mode
- Removes a blocker like a stone block or a crown magnet
Entangler
These vines cover the tiles, which mean you'll need to match the tile twice. The first will remove the vine, the second will remove the tile in the normal way.
Mouse Trap
This rodent-catcher will randomly move to an adjacent tile when each turn is taken. You can blast away the Mouse Trap with a crown tile or a Line Blaster tile.
Move Stealer
This blue glass bottle shows a number value in the green circle. This is the number of turns you have left, before the glass bottle will break and steal moves from your level attempt.
Stone
The dark granite stone will block the fall of new tiles, but if you match tiles next to it, the stone will crumble. Chip away at the stone until it's removed and you'll have clear spaces for new tiles.
Codex
The codex book will open and closes each turn you make. When it's open, the letter revealed can be matched in your word, and if successful the book is cleared from the board.
Exclamation
Just like an exclamation mark, this can only appear at the end of a word. Keep it in mind when creating a word and use it as the last letter to clear it from the board.
Crown Magnet
This trap will pull in crowns which are attached to your tiles. Be sure to destroy the magnet as soon as you can, so it stops stealing the rewards for your hard work!
