Hi @SuddenWizard76 and welcome to our Community!
The Royal Championship starts every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at 12:00 East European Summer Time (this is my timezone).
You can find the time that it starts in your country according to your timezone!
As you know, after an event's end, there is the "counting" time for the results, for about 12 mins, or a little bit more. A new event normally has to start after this counting time!
However, there is always a delay. This means that a new event starts later. This "delay" varies, for some mins or half an hour ( the most common) to some hours (very rarely).
I don't know the reason for this delay and also if it is global or if affects some territories. More possible is the second! 😉

It starts at the same time globally and ends at the same time globally (if we do not think about the delay issue). So, if it started at 12:00 in your timezone (14:00 my timezone) it means that you had aproximately 2 hours delay! I entered at about 13 + ( 11 + your timezone).
As I told, this delay varies, for reasons I don't know, but I know that affects different devices in a different way! E.g., I play and my wife plays! However, my wife can enter into event, but for me Arena is closed! It opens some mins or an hour later!
Other times, I can enter, while my wife has "Arena closed"! 😁
It is logical to start simoultaneously for everybody, regardless timezone and end simoultantaneously, so that people from various places in the world can play against each other and finish at the same time for the results be counted! 🙂
